Dear Dinis, As far as i Know, there is information on bycatch of pelagis sharks by longline fisheries operating in the eastern atlantic in the ICCAT website, take a look at publications of the SCRS (Standing Commite on Research Statistics)...there are at least 3 or 4 papers I remember that have info on that topic.
Also look for Peterson et al a report made for WWF on bycatch of sharks, seabirds and sea turtles on pelagic longline fisheries off Angola, Namibia and South Africa....as far as i remember, Peterson and colleagues also presented a paper to ICCAT on this topics.
I hope it helps!! Regards from Uruguay, Philip
