In response to the high level of interest, the Rushing Rivers Institute
has collaborated with EST Montes in Madrid and will again offer the

MesoHABSIM Spring Courses in Madrid, Spain will be offered at both an
introductory and intermediate level from April 20^th through April 23^rd
2009.* *The introductory portion will enable decision makers to
understand the uses and analysis available from the MesoHABSIM
framework, while the more in depth intermediate course material will
train users on the MesoHABSIM functionality. Course participants will
have opportunities to conduct stream habitat mapping with a Pocket PC,
use the grid electrofishing technique, compute multivariable habitat
suitability criteria for native fish species, create habitat suitability
maps, create habitat-flow rating curves and habitat time series analysis
(UCUT Curves), develop flow augmentation scenarios and simulate habitat
improvement measures. The in-depth course also includes hands-on
training in Sim-Stream07 software.
