Timing of the NYT editorial likely due to recent report of mercury poisoning
of NY actor Jeremy Piven, who ate sushi 2X day.
That was the cause of Pearl Harbor - too much sashimi for the high command.
If it is true that Piven was poisoned from eating sushi that ought to be
documented. Anyone have the details? What did he have for his sushi? There
are lots of sources for mercury poisoning; fish is only one and generally has
not been a problem for the oceans - and FW, mostly. I would be skeptical of
this report until the detail are out from a reputable source.
