I am using the various listings I have for colleagues in SHS Oceania
belonging to institutions in Oceania, also colleagues working in
Oceania, and of course those lists are very incomplete; so may I thank

(It has also been publicised as "Agora2", since it is the second major
operation of the AGORA-SHS network, network of Social sciences in New
Caledonia, founded with the symposium held in April 2006: see:

Our Colleagues anglophone, mainly for Pacific Anglonesia, will present
the state of the art of their researches concerning the French
Territories (Pacific Franconesia).

Dans le souci de construire une solidarité au sein d’une société
plurielle du point de vue des trajectoires historiques comme de celui
des normes et de représentations, l’intégration de la coutume dans
l’ordre juridique interne nécessite une adaptation mutuelle de la
coutume et du droit commun. La construction de ce destin commun
nécessite d’intégrer la coutume, sans pour autant la dénaturer, tout
en amenant le droit positif à embrasser les règles coutumières. Cette
problématique constitue une constante dans les sociétés plurielles du
Pacifique, notamment en Nouvelle-Calédonie, en Nouvelle-Zélande, à
Fidji, au Vanuatu ou à Wallis et Futuna, mais également dans d’autres
régions du globe (Afrique, Amérique…).
Dans ce contexte particulier, le droit de l’environnement constitue
certainement, de plusieurs points de vue, une des disciplines les plus
appropriées pour aborder ces questions
