Faculty Positions Announcement

The Institute of Anthropology, National Tsing Hua University is
seeking to fill two joint positions starting as early as Aug.1, 2010.
Rank is open and equal consideration will be given to all qualified
1. One position in: (a) anthropology of Austronesian cultures and
  societies;(b) cultural diversity & pluralism. This position is a joint
  appointment between the Institute of Anthropology and the Center
  of General Education.
2. One position in: (a) archeology;(b) cultural anthropology. This
  position is a joint appointment between the Institute of
  Anthropology and the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences.
  Application materials are due no later than Feb. 1, 2010. All
  applicants please send three sets of application materials to the

Application materials must include:
1. A signed letter of application specifying the position and rank
  applied for as well as summarizing teaching, and current and near
  future research interests.
2. Photocopy of (a) doctoral diploma; and, university certified copy of
 (b) doctoral degree transcripts (for assistant professor level only).
 In lieu of a photocopy of doctoral diploma, ABDs can submit a letter
 issued by his/her dissertation committee chair indicating the degree
 will be awarded before July 31, 2010. ABDs must still submit a
 certified copy of doctoral degree transcripts.
3. Curriculum Vitae.
4. Three letters of recommendation to be mailed separately to the
  above address.
5. Ph.D. dissertation and other publications. If the dissertation and
  publications are in a language other than Chinese or English, please
  send English summaries of an appropriate length.
6. Syllabi for three or four courses the applicants are prepared to
