There have been numerous popular reports about presumptive detection of Asian carp through screening water samples for their DNA. This is difficult for my old, retired mind to comprehend. if someone knows how this works: 1. How much water do you have to "process" to detect rare fish? 2. What is the reliability of detecting the target species?
Thank you
