It has been a long time since our last e-mail circulation. Hope that all go well with you and doing good GIS/Spatial works as in the past. We have a few announcements today:

(1) Call for the local co-organizer for the 5th Symposium 

We will organize "5th International Symposium on GIS/Spatial Analyses in Fishery and Aquatic Sciences" in Aug. 22-26, 2011.  As in the past, we now officially call for the local co-organizer to host the 5th Symposium. For your references please refer to our web site on the past 4 Symposia at 
http://www.esl.co.jp/Sympo/index.htm.  If you are interested in applying for the local co-organizer, please read the requirements and conditions and send the application to us by March 15 (next month). For details including the application form please see http://www.esl.co.jp/Sympo/5th/index.htm

(2) Publication of the Proceedings of 4th Symposium (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2008) (GIS/Spatial Analyses in Fishery and Aquatic Sciences. Vol 4) 

We are sorry that the editorial process has been delayed as we have been doing the time consuming reviews and editorial works for 34 accepted full papers, i.e., technical peer-reviews by 2-3 outstanding experts and 1-2 times of editorial works by the professional editors. We plan to publish by May this year. We will inform you when it is ready.
