This is the Second Call for Papers for the 6^th World Recreational
Fishing Conference (WRFC) to be held from August 1 -- 4, 2011 at
Humboldt-University Berlin. The conference theme is "/Toward Resilient
Recreational Fisheries/". The 6^th WRFC is the only scientific venue
explicitly dealing with, and centring on, the emerging field of
recreational fisheries science, management and development in freshwater
and marine environments, in both developed and developing nations. The
conference is open to researchers, managers, NGO representatives and
avid anglers from a wide range of fields. We particularly encourage a
multi-disciplinary crowd as audience and for paper presentations.
We again cordially invite abstracts from a wide range of scientific
disciplines and management applications in recreational fisheries.
Topics fitting one of the following conference themes and contributed
sessions are particularly welcomed (see www.worldrecfish.org

economic consequences*

An International Scientific Advisory Board will help make decisions on
the final list of speakers. Paper abstracts submitted until the deadline
of *March, 15, 2011* and not selected as oral presentations can be
presented as posters if they fit the conference themes.
The conference is a standard scientific meeting with short scientific
presentations (15 minutes) and discussions (5 minutes) in English. Key
note speakers are Prof Dr John Post, Dr Zeb Hogan and Brad Gentner.
Please visit www.worldrecfish.org <http://www.worldrecfish.org/> to
learn about the esteemed key note lectures ranging from sustainability
issues and collapse of fisheries to economics and conservation of the
world's megafishes. In addition to the core scientific conference we
offer a range of socials, with the highlight being the conference dinner
in the Saurian Hall of Berlin National History Museum on the evening of
August, 3, 2011. The proceedings of the scientific meeting are to be
published after full peer review in the scientific journal Fisheries
Management and Ecology.
You have to submit abstracts and register through the website
www.worldrecfish.org <http://www.worldrecfish.org/>. Please do not email
