Folks
A quick and dirty question, and expecting quick and dirty answers!
From the collective experience of FISH-SCI, what is the minimum mass of fish muscle that can be used to get a reliable estimate of lipid content via the Soxhlet-extraction process?
We are extracting lipid from European eels, where lipid can vary from 10-40%.
All the best
Chris
