Three Tenure-track Positions in Coastal Biology
The Department of Biology (http://biology.ucs.louisiana.edu) at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette seeks to fill three tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level to complement our strengths in marine and coastal biology. Research programs could include but are not limited to:
Landscape Ecology: Integration of research/data across ecosystems at regional and landscape scales, particularly along coastal margins and the land-sea interface.
Estuarine Biology: Estuarine plankton dynamics, harmful algal blooms, water quality, nutrient cycling, trophic interactions and linkages to nearshore environments.
Marine/estuarine Fish or Invertebrate Biology: Larval biology, benthic ecology, physiological ecology, molecular ecology or environmental genomics.
Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in a relevant field and postdoctoral experience. Successful applicants will be expected to establish a vigorous, externally funded research program, provide instruction to undergraduates and participate in our doctoral program in Environmental and Evolutionary Biology. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of research interests, statement of teaching interests, and a list of three references (including postal and email addresses) should be emailed as separate pdf attachments to:
