Folks
This isn't directly fishy, but is an amazing opportunity for someone.
The Humboldt foundation (Germany) is offering (via the Sofja Kovalevskaja Award) funding (1.65 M Euros over 5 years) for exceptional early career stage scientists to build a group at suitable German research institution of your choice.

Chance like this are rare in life, so if you finished your doctorate in the last 6 years and are a proto-research star, go to http://www.humboldt-foundation.de/web/kovalevskaja-award.html for more details.

It'd be great to get a fishy person in at least one of the 8 available positions. Germany is a really great place to do research with a long list of excellent groups working on fish/aquatic sciences.

All the best
Chris
