Dear Laith,
I am so sorry for my silence in the past few months. I had a baby in May -
she arrived early and by emergency c-section, after which I suffered
several infections. We then moved to Italy and I was busy with looking
after the baby, moving and completing the editing of a very large book
project that I agreed to before I knew I was pregnant (details here:
http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/archaeology/research/zooarchaeology-lab/handbook-zooarchaeology
(as you can see, Mark Beech, Lisa Yeomans and I are writing a chapter on
Arabian Gulf fishing, in addition to me being an editor of the book
overall).
I would happily look at your paper for you if you feel that my opinion
would be valuable? If not, once published I'd really appreciate a copy as I
have an assemblage of fish bones coming to me from Iraq, possibly having
been procured from the Euphrates.
I'd be happy to collaborate more closely with you, but until February 2015
I am mostly tied up with the baby. Perhaps I should contact you once I
return to work?
