Hi All

I received the 1st response about the otolith question from kristiaan
Hoedemakers and here it is:
 In cypriniformes and siluriformes the asteriscus or  lapillus is the largest, correct. The reason is, that the skull of these fishes can accommodate a larger asteriscus or lapillus whereas the place for the sagitta is rather restricted. Why this is, is something that evolutionists could perhaps explain.
