Given the host institution, it looks to have considerable potential for fishy folk!
Cheers

Hello all,
I just wanted to alert any interested candidates in an outstanding postdoctoral fellowship scheme now open at the University of Queensland, Brisbane Australia. The scheme is not specific to ecology but if you are interested in applying, details for how to get started are listed below. This fellowship pays salary only (for free years) so you need to find a well matched supervisor and hosting school (department) at UQ to apply.
2017 UQ Development Fellowships
UQ is very pleased to announce the opening of the University of Queensland UQ Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (Development Fellowship Scheme). The scheme aims to foster development of the most promising early career researchers.
Fellowships may be applied for and awarded funding for up to a maximum of three years and are to be taken up by 1 January 2018.
Fellowships may be held on a part-time basis (for family and/or carer responsibilities).
For detailed information on the features of the scheme, selection and eligibility criteria, please refer to the UQ Development Fellowships Guidelines, available on the UQR&I website at: http://www.uq.edu.au/research/research-management/uq-fellowships
Key Info: Applications are submitted through hosting schools and institutions at the University of Queensland. If you are interested in applying, you need to:
1. Identify and contact a suitable supervisor at The University of Queensland. Most ecologists at UQ are in the following Schools. Please contact specific supervisors about your interest:
School of Biological Sciences: http://www.biology.uq.edu.au/
School of Geography, Planing and Environmental Management: https://www.gpem.uq.edu.au/
School of Agriculture and Food Science: https://www.uq.edu.au/agriculture/
UQs Ecology Centre provides information about all ecologists at UQ: http://ecology.uq.edu.au/
you may also contact The University of Queensland’s Research office for more detailed [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
2. Get details on School/Department/Institute internal deadlines - these will be in late August 2016. Once you have opened discussions with a potential supervisor and confirmed their support for your application, they will be able to tell you what these are or help you find out.
3. These fellowships are highly competitive and heavily based on past publication record. If you have not published more than 5 papers in high ranking journals you are unlikely to be competitive.
