There are two huge pools at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, MD.
They are used to study the concussive effects of underwater
explosions. They then go out and do the real thing at sea. The Naval
sea Systems Command often funds these efforts. A lot of the data
gathered is applicable to marine studies, e.g. temperature, wave/pulse
lengths, range, etc.
The point of contact is Bob McHugh (sp.?) at 410-278-9237. If he
doesn't have the information, he knows who does.
Good luck!
Connie

Dear friends
Question
Could someone send me information (e.g. references) on the effect of
underwater explosions on marine fauna?
A 20 ton TNT explosion will take place about 60 miles offshore and I'm
seeking information on the subject.
Thanks.
