Quite a few years ago I was walking in shallow
water along a beach in Baja california, Gulf side, looking for crabs and
encountered a considerable party of sting rays swimming around, some came
pretty close apparently to inspect my feet but not agressively. At low
tide shallow depressions could be seen on the beach slope. I never
quite figured out what was going on, feeding, mating, or what else. Has
anybody got a clue? Gerard
