NEWS FROM ISESS 1997
Second International IFIP Symposium on Environmental Software Systems
Special Call for Papers on Agriculture, Forestry, Ecology and Information
===============================================================================
For the Second International IFIP Symposium on Environmental Software Systems
we especially encourage the submission of papers related to the following
topics:
Agriculture and Information
Forestry and Information
Ecology and Information
Agriculture, forestry and information: within these sessions we would like to
present and discuss software systems providing real improvements for the
management, especially environmentally sound ones.
Ecology and information: the objectives of these sessions are related to
theoretical problems about the (self)organization and parametrization of
complex adaptive systems, from an ecological point of view as well as from
the informatics.
For all three sessions we would like to have both views: users of software
systems and their demands, and developer with a presentation of their
strategies.
!!! Note that the views above are some of our views. However, we invite any
contribution related to one of these topics !!!
For papers related to these topics, we intend to organize specialized sessions.
The reviewing of papers related to these topics will take place in a specialized
subgroup from the program committee, including colleagues specialized in agriculture,
forestry and ecology.
The deadline for papers (related to these topics only) is extended until
-----------------------------
NOVEMBER 1, 1996.
