Subject: Limits on Catch & Release

Does anyone in the group know of a situation where, for any reason, limits
have been placed on the number of fish an angler may catch and release
during a day? I am dealing with an angling group that is concerned that the
combination of high catch (and release) rates and dramatically increased
angling pressure on wild resident rainbow trout in Washington's Yakima River
may be adversely affecting the trout population abundance. They are
interested in imposing a limit on the number of trout that may be caught
each day. Any experience, with any fish species would be appreciated.
