I am engaged in a project to compare long-lived cyprinids with shorter
lived ones in the family of over 1600 species. Does anyone know of articles
of aging long-lived cyprinids (say 15 years or older)? Particularly
important is the methods found to be accurate for aging them. Please send
references.

Also, if anyone has experience in DNA mapping of cyprinids, or knows of
labs skilled in this, please contact me for further information.

Sincerely, John C. Guerin [log in to unmask]
