Dear Colleagues:
I apologize if this gets posted more than once, but my first try came
back as undeliverable....
Please pass the following information along to any interested students:
GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANTSHIP
IN HUDSON RIVER ECOLOGY
The West Virginia University announces the availability of at least one
graduate research assistantship (MS or PhD level) working with Dr. Kyle
Hartman in studying the ecology of bay anchovy (or potentially other
species) in the Hudson River. Field work is ongoing and will continue
through January 1999. Funding is available for at least 2 years on this
project. This study will involve the use of state-o-the-art
hydroacoustics in assessing the spatial distribution, population extent,
and population abundance of bay anchovy in the Hudson River and adjoining
coastal areas. Opportunities to work with other species or other aspects
of ecology and modeling within the existing study framework also exist.
