Before giving up would some of the young scientists spend some energy on
political actions - draw attention to the decision makers of their
plight - and the consequences to society. Talking amongst ourselves can
bring together information on the problem, but the decisions are made
elsewhere. The Biodiversity Convention was used as a forum to draw
attention to the endangered taxonomists of the world, especially in
developing countries.

What other fora could be used?

What about delegations of young scientists to Science Ministers?
