Hello again,
Thank you for all of the responses I received about designing a fish model. I have a much better understanding of what seems to be in demand. I am having a problem that I need some help with. In some early test models (pop dynamics model) that I am building I have run into a problem with age and growth. In the model, should a pay more attention to age compositions for fish or should a worry more about size classes? How many fisheries managers actually do growth, weight, age stuff or do they survey and record ust size and weight? Also, I am looking for a good up to date reference on age and length averages for most species of fish in the US. I know that Carlander's Handbook of freshwater fishery biology has been the bible for this sort of thing, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of a more recent source. Thanks in advance,
