My apologies for cross-postings:

I have a grad student who is interested in the controversy about salmon
ranching in the Pacific NW and seals/sea lions happily consuming salmon as
they migrate back in the estuaries.  She is having a hard time finding
quantitative information about the magnitude of the problem, potential
solutions, etc; most of the material tracked down so far seems to be in
the popular press, or anecdotal descriptions.  Any help in getting her
