Dear Fish Ecology People,
I am searching for any information on management measures or
protection measures for the Potato Cod (E. tukula) and the Giant Grouper (E.
lanceolatus), for example are they protected anywhere, do they have size and
bag limits anywhere.
In Western Australia, Potato Cod are protected but there are no
management measures for the Giant Grouper except a general maximum size
limit of 120 cm for all Cods and Groupers in the State. The Giant Grouper is
list as vulnerable in the 1996 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Steve
