Just an information requested by an aquarist and not a by researcher.
On january 15 my "donzella" (Coris julis) disappeared. Till that moment it
looks fine, so I thought it went "under gravel". From that day no notice.
My question is: I know that many labridae spec. can rest for many weeks
under gravel, but someone knows what is maximum time?

(The temperature of water, in last months, ranged from 17 to 22 Celsius,
that to say a warm temperature for Mediterranean Sea. Some weeks before the
disappearence, furthermore, it seemed to me to notice the first symptoms of
sex inversion).

Thank you
(and excuse me for this non "academic" issue)

Maurizio Vitale
