To add further to this list:
I have observed both a swordfish and a blue marlin with packing straps
embedded behind the head, where the flesh had grown around them as has
been described for these other fish. The straps were exactly the type
used on boxes of squid and mackeral that is commonly used for longline
bait. This was in the subtropical Atlantic.
