I am undertaking a compilation of managed shark fisheries, specifically
outside of the following countries: Canada/US/Australia/NZ/South
Africa/UK-Ireland/Norway. For a 'managed fishery' there ideally should be:
i. annual collection of statistics
ii. some form of management objectives and policies
iii. regulations of some form to achieve objectives and implement policies.
iv. a periodic review and management plan update process.
The management could be at a national, regional or local level.
I would be most grateful to learn of siutations where such management is
happening.
