POST-DOCTORAL LECTURER POSITION
                    IN WILDLIFE AND FISHERIES CONSERVATION

POSITION:       This is an academic-year position in Wildlife and Fisheries
Conservation with a 9-month duration. We seek a person with knowledge of
Wildlife and Fisheries Ecology and Natural Resources Management who can teach
three courses each semester and assist with academic advising and
departmental outreach. This is a full-time temporary position with primary
responsibilities in instruction Lecturer level. Salary $28,000-$30,000 with
benefits.

AVAILABILITY:   The position will begin September 1, 1997. Application should
be received by July  1, 1997 to receive priority consideration. The position
will remain open until filled.

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology, Fisheries Ecology, Natural
Resources Management or related discipline. A successful candidate will
have experience in
university-level instruction in wildlife/fisheries ecology or related
fields and
evidence of a commitment to high quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:       Teach 2-3 courses each semester for 2 semesters
including: Society and the Environment, Wildlife and Their Environment,
and other courses as assigned. Advise 50-60 undergraduates in Wildlife
and Fisheries Conservation and Natural Resources Studies. Participate in
University outreach activities as needed.
