Dear Fish Ecologists,

In Australia, there appears to have been a recent increase in the number of
recreational fishing competitions run by corporations for promotional
purposes, or by organisations for fund raising.  Could you please advise me
what is the status of regulation of these recreational fishing competitions
in your state or country?  If such competitions are regulated, what
licences, fee structure and monitoring is in place?  What additional
conditions also apply to competitors in such competitions, other than
standard input and output controls for the recreational fishery on which
the competition is based?
