Dear Fish-ecologist:

Does anyone out there have available information on distribution and
systematics of Hypoplectrus (Perciformes: Serranidae) reef fishes of the
Western Atlantic.  I have the Domeier's interesting paper (Bull. Mar. Sci:
1994) on speciation of this genus, but I would like to know if anybody of
you have any current working on these fishes.  I have been recording their
distribution for the coral reefs of the Mexican Caribbean, eastern Yucatan
Peninsula.  Thanks for your attention.
