Currently I am collecting data on live-bearing groups of teleosts and their
egg-laying sister taxa and I would be very grateful for any sources of
information on the familes Carapidae, Ophidiidae, Bythitidae, Aphyonidae
and Pararbrotulidae, for example -

1. The addresses of any workers interested in these families

2. Available phylogenenetic or taxonomic relationships, other than
Cohen and Nielsen (1978) in their NOAA Technical Report.

3. Data on life history (particularly reproductive), ecology and
distribution.

My own efforts to find data through the published literature have really
only given body length, and water depth, concentrating mostly on species
descriptions.

IF ANYBODY CAN HELP - PLEASE CONTACT ME DIRECTLY AT [log in to unmask]
(I'll provide the list with a summary of replies)

Many thanks.

Nick Goodwin
