Oaxaca is a state in the Mexican Republic that has difficulties in the
aquaculture development of technical process and scientific information,
along with regional economic problems.
The federal and state government created the Universidad del Mar (UMAR) to
assist in the evelopment and promotional purposes of Oaxaca state. UMAR is a
young institution with a solid intention of developing regional and cultural
promotions, and to cultivate professional and research development in
Aquaculture Engineering, production etc.. This institution was conceived to
assist in the social and cultural transformation of its students to obtain a
better life level, to generate technique and scientific information
regarding the Oaxaca coastal resources and to capitalize and improve this
undevelopment area.
For this reason, we are solicited any help and collaboration for own
university library system, regarding donation of Aquaculture Magazine, World
Aquaculture Magazine, Journal of the World Aquaculture Society, World Shrimp
Farming or any other relation magazine.
