Hello everyone --

I am looking for recent compilations of celluar DNA values (e.g., picograms
of DNA per cell) of fishes. I have Hinegardner (1968) and Hinegardner &
Rosen (1969) but my searches for more recent and comprehensive listings
have, so far, proved unproductive. I have collected a few recent papers for
individual species and/or genera but it is a tedious process and I suspect I
am "re-inventing the wheel." I am particularly interested in obtaining
values for the following temperate freshwater species (common in Minnesota
and thus familiar to my undergraduate students):

        Esox luscius and/or masquinongy
        Stizostedion vitreum and/or canadense
        Micropterus salmoides and/or dolimieui
        Lepomis macrochirus and other spp.
        Catostomus commersoni
        Moxostoma spp.
        Coregonus artedi and/or clupeaformis
        Oncorhynchus mykiss
        Salvelinus fontanalis and/or naymacush
        Amia calva
        Acipenser fulvescens
        Lota lota
        Percopsis omiscomaycus
        Ameierus spp.
        Cottus cognatus and/or bairdii
        Aplodinotus grunniens

If you know of recent work (perhaps hidden away in a Special Report or an
Occasional Publication of a museum?) that may provide such a comprehensive
listing or if you know values or sources for any of the above taxa, please
respond to me directly. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
