Hello Everyone!

What happens in a brackish marsh when the natural salinity variations are
removed?

I am working in a brackish marsh where the water quality objectives are to
maintain relatively fresh standards within the marsh throughout the year.
Isn't the natural variability of salinity regimes a primary factor
associated with the great species (plant, fish, and wildlife) diversity
found in Brackish marshes?

Do you know of any literature that would discuss variability within
habitats?

Your thoughts, suggestions, and comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Heather McIntire
