I am a research fellow at the University of Bergen, Norway, working on my
Ph.D. in fisheries biology.
The subject of my study is predator/prey interactions between cod and
herring in the Barents Sea.
I am using stomach data from several years, but I have a severe problem
with large amounts of indeterminate stomach content.
I believe this to be a general problem in dietary studies based on data
from routine-surveys.
My question to the members of this list is:
Does anyone know about litterature conserned with the problem of dealing
with indeterminate stomach content?
Does anyone have sugestions on how to approach this problem?
I'll be grateful for any contribution.
Thanks in advance.
