Ph.D. Graduate Research Assistantship in Fish Ecology
Colorado State University

Responsiblities: Seeking highly motivated Ph.D. student to conduct research
on population ecology of invasions by brook trout in wilderness  mountain
streams with native Colorado River cutthroat trout.  Duties include
teaching laboratory sections of Fish Biology spring semester each year.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a M.S. degree in fish or aquatic
ecology or a related discipline.  Excellent students with B.S. degrees who
seek an M.S. may also be considered.  Qualifications desired include an
excellent academic record, strong quantitative background and computing
skills, and substantial field experience working in aquatic systems.

Stipend: Renewable stipend for 12 months per year, and additional tuition

Closing date: Open until filled, but apply by 6 February for full
consideration.  Position begins early summer 1998.
