He may be referring to the following -- I don't know whether this
meeting has already been publicised on this list, but certainly the list
of symposia includes some that fit the bill.
The Second International Congress on the Biology of Fishes will be held
July 26-30, 1998 at Towson University of Maryland, Baltimore USA. This
meeting is organized by the Physiology Section of the American
Fisheries Society and is open to all researchers, teachers, managers
and students who are interested in fish biology. Symposia to be held
