At our lamprey sterilization facility we tag lamprey which we then release
into streams. These tags are used to identify lamprey on spawning nests. Our
tagging schemes include V-notching the dorsal fins, completely slicing the front
dorsal off and inserting colored dennison tags under the front dorsal fin.
Sometimes the three methods of identification are used at once. we have found
that they are very hardy and spawn with these different forms of identification.

Dear all:

I am looking for a tagging system for spawning sea lampreys.
One week duration of the tag should be enough, but visual identification
of tagged lampreys ought to be possible to avoid recapture.
May you help me?.

Thanks

Rolando
