You might try getting a copy of FAO/ICLARM FiSAT (Fisheries Stock
Assessment Tools).  This includes procedures for the Battacharya method
and Hasselblad's Normsep for splitting lenghth frequency data into modal
groups.

The interface is a bit clunky, but it works.
