Julian,
Dennison tags are similar to those used in department stores that
attach the price tags to clothing (also called anchor tags). The
anchor that is inserted into the fish is about 5-7mm with the portion
that sticks out of the fish being about 8cm (this can be cut). We
purchase the tags from Tex-Pac (Address - 130 New Hyde Park Rd.,
Franklin Square, N.Y. 11010 - Phone # 1-800-645-3416). The price for
5,000 tags is about $27.50. I do not know if they are suitable for
small fishes. Fisheries Techniques (Nielson and Johnson 1983) has a
tagging and marking chapter that has an illustration of the anchor tag
and might give you some other ideas.

Hello Cheryl,
Could you please tell me more about the colored Dennison tags. Are they
suitable for small fishes (about 10 cm) and where can I buy them? Thanks in
advance for any info you may have.
Cheers,
Julian
