Hello Fish Folk:

My name is Marty Kelly and I am working on my thesis which deals
with grass carp in the bayous of Houston, Texas.  I am going to be
collecting adult grass carp and taking blood from them in order
to determine their ploidy.  I have all the equipment that I need
but I am a little unsure on the procedure.  Has anyone had any
experience taking blood from carp or does anyone have a reference
that discusses this procedure?
