or "basic" handbooks on fishery science.
Below I give a summary of the suggestions received.
Please forgive the numerous inaccuracies: in several cases the references
were pretty "rough" (i.e. with no publication date, no publisher, etc.) I
added them to the list, because they may be useful all the same.
