I have been looking exhaustively for information on >2yr Ictalurus furcatus bioenergetics with little success. I have only found data pertaining to 0 - 2yr blue and channel catfish in the primary literature. What I am needing is data on food conversion efficiency, assimilation, prey profitability, energetic models, etc. on adult blue cat. Ecological, aquaculture, "grey-literature", or anything related would be greatly appreciated. I have already been looking at topics on bioenergetics in Wootton, Hoar and Randall, and in numerous articles on centrarchids and salmonids. They all discuss other species and/or hypothetical assumption models and so on, but I would like to have data specific to blue catfish if possible.
Thank-you, Lindsey Lewis [log in to unmask]
