involve working with endangered suckers of the Klamath Basin in south

Description: Assist in the data collection and analysis in support of
fisheries investigations predominantly in the Klamath River Basin.
Collect, record, summarize, and transmit a variety of ecological research
and monitoring variables. Data collection and analysis shall be conducted
according to standard operating procedures and guidelines. Perform data
collection and entry from boats, using laptop computers, data sheets,
and/or other scientific equipment required for the study. Record field
data as it is being collected, check for accuracy and completeness, and
identify and correct any deficiencies. Enter field data into
microcomputer databases, and transmit data to the appropriate location on
a daily basis. Maintain a project file containing all data entry sheets,
QA/QC compliance records and relevant information on the contract support
activities. These full-time positions may involve weekend scheduling as
well as swing shifts.
These positions require a Bachelor's degree in biological science or
related discipline; or a combination of education and experience may be
substituted. The quality of the combined education and experience must be
sufficient to demonstrate that the individual possesses the knowledge,
skills, and abilities required to perform biologist work, and is
comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of
a 4-year course of study with a major in biology. Have the ability to
work independently and within established guidelines. Experience in field
data collection, laboratory analysis, data entry, microcomputers, and
